  This unique hand crafted oval pendant is framed and enameled in high gloss metallic Pearl aqua blue Double axe labrys pendant measures 2 1/2” long by 1 1/4" wide (with bail) and comes on a 18" .925 plated sterling silver curb style necklace. The necklace has a lobster clasp. Beautiful pendant and detailed bail are silver tone. This is a uniqued piece and may have darker areas, please see photos.

  Labrys (Greek: λάβρυς, lábrus) is, according to Plutarch (Quaestiones Graecae 2.302a), the Lydian word for the double-bitted axe called in Greek a πέλεκυς (pélekus). This is all that is known with certainty about the word; everything else is conjecture.[1] On this dubious base, many elaborate theories have been posited linking it to the double axe of the Minoans and other societies.
